Vintage Hat WPL Question

Hello

I have this hat here that I would swear is from the 60's or very late 50's at the earliest. However it has a WPL# of 5923 that would put it in the 40's according to my research on RN#s. In fact I thought they got rid of WPLs entirely by 1959 correct? So am I just reading WPLs wrong or is this an amazingly mod looking 40's hat. Label is Lonette Originals but I couldn't find any info on that either. Thanks!

I see what you mean: it looks late '50s to early '60s to me too, so I guess the only comment I can add is that I recommend you remove the pins from the tassle bits that have been rolled up.
