This Fall, several designers are featuring buttons as more than just a simple fastener. As seen here in designs by Adeam, rows of buttons can be both functional and fabulous!
Many vintage garments include special buttons that are unique in material or placement, from the single giant button used to close a 1940s swing coat, to the rows of tiny, covered buttons adorning an elegant evening gown. Fancy fasteners of metal, glass, rhinestones, wood, etc. make many vintage pieces extra special.
For this VI, include your best beautifully buttoned garments--carded or loose vintage buttons are welcome, too. Line up button-trimmed pieces like coats, jackets and separates (including menswear), evening wear and accessories like hats and shoes, that are all buttoned up!
