Vintage lingerie help... thanks!

I acquired quite a haul of vintage lingerie and this was a part of that. I was told by the lady from whom I purchased this that it was 20's but the other items appeared to be 30's and newer except one piece that was definately older but I left behind. She said this was custom made.. is this a vintage teddy? And is this 20's? It is a bit dirty from storage.. what would be best way to wash this? Thanks!

It is one piece by the way.. with the crotch being solid and small buttons up the left top side. It is large too.

I'm not a lingerie expert, but it does look 20s or very early 30s to me. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures...

I found two similar chemises.

From "Everyday Fashions of the Twenties" - 1927/28

From "Everyday Fashions of the Thirties" - 1930

So I think your chemise falls right in that range, though I would lean toward the earlier end (1927-1928) because yours doesn't seem to have any definition in the waistline. The 1930s chemises show a closer fit than the late 1920s. Yours is very pretty!

I found out that it is a step-in chemise and when I searched that term and 20's there were a bunch of them to look at.. I guess it is 20's and that it is a step-in chemise. Thanks to anyone who looked!!
