Vintage Menswear Daily...now live!

cool!! :clapping: you have been a busy bee, and done a great job... am going to make husband read it when he gets in as you may well do a better job of convincing him re:vintage than i do!

I'll have another reason for wanting to pay attention to vintage every few days :) Heck, if i have convinced already my husband who wants a 1920s suit, wonders will never cease!

It is hard, but the most effective blogs have both a purpose and regular postings. Think about the ones you know that have a "following" and it's because of a specific interest plus the daily postings.

I've struggled with daily postings, and have decided that at this point I'm being successful if I post 3-4 times a week. It really helps knowing that there are people out there reading it. At first I felt like I was talking to myself!

Lizzie, I just prattled all over your blog - that's the product of shared vintage travel obsessions...
Chris, well done on setting this up - I'm really impressed. I haven't kept my blogs going, as I keep forgetting to check them, so this really is a lot of work!

This looks great, Chris. I just signed up for a blog and commented on yours! Thanks for the link. :)

Lin - if you do one let us know because we can't read/comment if we don't know it exists!

I was so worried tonight. at 9 pm i forgot i am supposed to be somewhere at 8 am tomorrow morning and am not an early riser. I thought i was going to miss a blog entry. (why did i call it a "daily") but i pulled it off. I promise i have something more interesting to talk about the next day. (i really do, i just couldn't get into a long subject tonight)

Deb, I fiddled around with a setting and think i might be - but i will have to get back to you for the answer on that one when i know for sure.

Chris

Syndicating your content is a great marketing tool! There are directories where you can register your "feed" and people can subscribe to it.

Deb

Hi Jody,

I don't have a lot of time at the moment, but blogs usually have that feature built-in. You need to create an XML, ATOM or RSS feed (lots of software have the tools to do this built-in). You may have noticed a lot of little orange icons around the internet? You can subscribe to XML, ATOM or RSS feeds using a feed reader, and there are also web-based feed readers that let you display syndicated content on a webpage (such as My Yahoo).

Gotta run!

wow! this is quite an undertaking. Keep up the good work. You must be super organized to do this daily.
