Vintage Miss Pat skirt set

Hello everyone, I’m a newbie here. I’ve actually never posted in a forum before, so I hope I’m doing this correctly…

I found a vintage Miss Pat California 2 piece skirt set. I’m guessing it’s from the 40’s or 50’s. I can’t find much online. Does anyone have any insight about this set?

That label looks early 1960s. If you ever get that on a mannequin it'd be easier to see what exactly what it is and how it falls but I think early 60s is about right.

I think it's from the late 1950s or very early '60s, too. It looks like a Junior or preteen piece. We do not have this label in our Resource, but I did a search and there are several pieces of Miss Pat California for sale online, and some information about the company - if you have time to weed through Google books!

It looks like a patent (probably for the name Miss Pat, California), was filed in 1954. As I mentioned, above, there are a lot of Miss Pat pieces available for sale. I didn't look through the patent office info - etc.

my rich cousin used to hand her clothes down to me and many were miss pat. all were pretty much cotton and well made and sold in stores like neimans and battelsteins here in texas. 50s
