Vintage necklace, not sure the era

I'm pretty useless when it comes to dating jewelry so I could use everyone's expert advice! Also, what is the name of this style of clasp?

Thanks all!

I'm not sure about the era either but I think it's definitely older. The beads appear to be carved lapis or probably faux lapis. The clasp is called a push-in box clasp. The part attached to the ring behind the push-in tongue part is "unusual." I don't know very much about this type of piece but "think" the beads might be from Italy.

Hope someone else will come along who knows more!
