Vintage or modern? cowgirl print suitcase

I find this very Cath Kidston in style but couldn't find a matching print, the inside looks modern to me, but it has a Cheney lock, which I've only ever found on vintage suitcases and no labels for fabric content etc or of any sort which I would have thought a fairly flammable interior fabric like this must have. The handle has a popper at the end which means the handle can be collapsed flat against the body (I think this is a fairly modern idea too but I have no evidence for that but gut feeling...). I can't tell whether the body is leather or faux. It's quite well made, the front had some sort of lamination which has mostly disintegrated, the print is on canvas type fabric that is backed so it is the same rigidity as the rest of the case (maybe this was oilcloth?) I'm wondering if this is 60s, 80s retro or just about brand new... What are your thoughts?

Nice find Melanie!

It looks pretty modern to me, the shininess of the clasp, the way the handle has a popper on one side and of course, the cowgirl print. I think you're looking at something from the last five years. It's very cute and I love the colour.

It reminds of this bag I sold to Candice DeVille, it's a repro '60s beauty case but makes a great handbag - I bought it from a local repro label called Glamourpuss. You can see more of the range here - this was from several years ago but more recently the cute prints have been applied.

it is cute as can be!

we used to sell similar purses/bags & totes on ebay...back in 2002 and 3, it would have been; we picked them up at flea markets, the ones we got were from Korea....it's still adorable, though! love the red!

i have a (modern) dress in the exact same print except mine's in pink. The dress is from Get Cutie. I've seen washbags too.

ETA: i just remembered I've seen this print on a cushion too. I don't think Get Cutie have any exclusivity in it.
