Vintage or not? Blue plastic cord knotted handbag

I thought this had some age to it due to the lining which looks like acetate but I appreciate something like this could have been made abroad yesterday and wanted to know your opinion. I thought 60's maybe? The plastic is very stiff, not unlike a washing line.

I would have picked that up as well - and then wondered the same thing. Is the lining silk? Unusual. I suppose it coud even be 50's. Or 90's. I need that scratching head smiley.

My first feeling was '60s but macrame' was so big in the '70s, it could be from then.

I see what you mean about it being modern though: it's almost shiny!
