I have a vintage purse of my grandmother's. It's a still in the store bag Bernhard Altman. It has no tags not identifying marks . It has an Elgin compact and. Cigarette case. I would love to find out about it.

looks like a 1960s evening bag; the flattened links on each end of the chain allowed the chain to be visible and used as a handle, or it could be slipped inside the purse so no handle would show (which gave it a more formal look) .

the compact and cigarette case were most likely her formal accessories that she used with that dressier purse, so she may have just stored them in there so she wouldn't have to look for them when she had an event that she wanted to use them.

if you're going to sell them, i would offer them separately, but provide links to each of the other pieces in case a buyer would like to have them stay all together.

nice pieces, all of them!

lol...this reminded me, back in the 80s, we sold a LOT of cigarette cases to girls who were using them to carry their cannabis.
