Good afternoon. I am hoping someone can help me with this vintage Radio City scarf:

It features the call letters of several old radio stations and NYC skyscrapers:

I am thinking it is from the 40's....what do you think? ..... It appears to be a silk or silk blend. (no tags)

Do you think this was a promotional item? tourist scarf? Any thoughts would be appreciated.....Thanks.

It has a real 30s look to me too. It could be a promotional item, maybe for a radio convention of some type. Love it!

Yes, to the Deco feel! Looks like old-timey radio embodied...I can hear the announcer now in my head with that smarmy voice. It doesn't spell well, though, so use your imagination.

Hmmm... I was going to go with earlier 30s b/c of the Deco element... what is the scarf made of?

Not sure if it makes any difference but those are AM talk radio call letters. Actually maybe you already knew that! FM didn't come around until like the 30's but I think it wasn't really used until the late 40's?

Most of those call letters are still around. I guess they never change those!
