Vintage Seamprufe Nightgown

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knows what era this nightgown is from. I think it's a nightgown buy I'm not 100% sure. Based on the person who owned it, I'm guessing it's from the 40's or 50's. Thank you so much in advance for your expertise and assistance!!

Yes, it's a nightgown. I would date it to the 1940s.

Thank you. I've had it for 18 years and never really paid much attention to it, although I appreciated it. When my grandmother died, a good family friend gave it to me. It belonged to her grandmother. I'm thinking about selling it, although I probably shouldn't. It makes more sense that it belong to someone who truly appreciates it and not just the sentiment behind it. Does that make sense lol? I appreciate you for your feedback!!
