Hi! Does anyone know about the "Starr" label? I have a vintage Starr slip, and I'm trying to date it. Thanks!

The adjusters are metal, and the embroidered tag makes me think it's 40's or 50's? I've never heard of Starr before. Here's a full pic

The back side of the tag is embroidered "100% nylon." I guess if it was 40's it would be rayon? I'm thinking it's 50's then, since many of the 60's slips I've seen have a stamped label, not an embroidered label?

There were embroidered lingerie labels into the 60s. Without being able to see the seaming detail on the bodice, which is very often a clue with slips, but I can't see the detail in the black, I'm thinking late 50s into as late as the mid 60s (since not everyone wore mini dresses then!). Not 40s or even mid 50s. If you were to go with late 50s/early 60s you'd be safe, I think! Lovely slip--vintage lingerie is absolutely the best!
