Vintage Tablecloths...Pics Added

I only have a few. Maybe 8 or so. I hate to part with them but I DON'T need them, so bye-bye! Most are florals & I think 40s or 50s era. I also have some not-so-vintage napkins that I'll lot up. I just want this stuff to go away! LOL

I thought I might put the ones that aren't in excellent shape in a lot. Then I started wondering what kind of rating rules most vintage linens folk use...

Do any of y'all ever sell them? Can you tell me how it worked for you, please? I did a quick search & I think "most" start at $9.99.

any ideas would be great.

A lot of times buyers of these would rather wash them themselves than have you do it. I have listed several. Some had spots on them but they were on the white part where you could apply a little bleach and rinse. I pointed this out and it did quite well.

I would lot up the ones with issues and sell the others separately , especially if they are a nice floral or pattern and not too badly stained or with holes.

Leisa, if you could show pictures, I have a tablecloth book with a price guide in it.

Okay - here's the link to the whole folder.

It doesn't have the detailed pics of the lot yet, but the 4 tablecloths in the lot have some spots & the pink bordered one has some small holes & stress marks.

The orange & green one just has a few faint spots. It's actually in great shape.

That blue roses one is linen & in really good shape. It'll be listed alone.
As will the two sets.

I think I'm just going to start everything at $9.99. Even with the spots on the pink set - it's entirely too adorable to sell for less. I'll put it in my suitcase if I have to. LOL

Oh - the napkins are waaaay cool. Only 4 of them, so I'll start them a bit lower.

But - right now I have a screaming headace & I think I need to lie down for a bit. I did not sleep well at all last nite.

Oh & I haven't forgottemn the vintage sewing books. I just have to decide what box they're in. or not. ;)

I think most of these tablecloths are priced in the $25.00 range in my book. With napkins, they should run more.

On your colorful one, be sure to put fiesta in the title. A lot of Fiesta collectors are always looking for tablecloths for their dishes.

The cherries one is a Wilendur (pre-1957) and should bring a handsome price if it's a good size and excellent condition.

Most collectors are very picky, just like with vintage clothing, so be sure to hold them up to bright light and look for and detail every minute flaw. Also mention labels if there are any.

If you want to post to the Needle Arts & Vintage Textiles board at eBay, there are folks who can probably identify the other patterns.

No Way Brenda! Are you sure??? Gotta go revise it - BRB

Thank You! whew! Just in time! No bids yet - But the "barkcloth" napkins I have up are also Wilendur, don't you think?

Unfortunately, the tablecloth isn't perfect, but I raised the start from $7.99 to $9.99 anyway & showed all the spots. Hopefully someone will be able to live with it as is. I sure did! LOL

Sure hope so - cause I already added that to the description after I got a bid. I looked up some other Wilendur auctions & saw a lot of similar designs & color schemes...

Please tell me I did the right thing.
