Vintage Ungaro Dress or Coat perhaps?

Found this vintage Ungaro the other day. It's super heavy soft velvet, fully lined. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a dress or maybe a coat? The pleat in the back opens all the way up to... the bum! So, I don't know? It's nice though!

Also, would you say this was late 60s? I thought the tag looked similar to the one posted here.

I would say early to mid '70s and I'd call it a coat dress - nice

definitely a coat, with the slit on the back that high. a coat dress wouldn't have that.
