Vintage USA Labels...in Spanish?

I have a swimsuit made in the USA, RN 17919, brand La Playa. Everything about the construction and style of the suit says late 60s to me. However, there is a second fiber content/care label in Spanish which I've never seen in vintage garments before. Did the US include Spanish on garments in the 60s? Help!

Interesting panel on the inside front: is that a hook opening? Is it a maternity suit perhaps? I haven't seen one of those before.

Your suit looks more modern to me, '80s, '90s... judging by the labels and fabric. The keyhole back looks '60s style but they're still used. I'm not familiar with the label, but it's still being made I think so if you can show the label that might help dating as they tend to change.

The key style element for me with your swimsuit is the leg openings: how high they sit. If you can photograph it being worn, it will be easier to see the silhouette and style.

Thank you for the input! Here is a photo of the suit on me. I agree that the fabric looks 80s...I just don't know if I've seen any 80s suits with this 60s leg cut.

Love the fabric and the colors. These look more 80s to me though. Maybe this was aimed at older ladies, and therefore more conservatively cut. I remember that type from mail-order catalogs of my childhood...

Thanks for the input! Sounds about right.

The boy leg came back in....when was it? Late '90s I think. I like boy legs and still buy them on my swimwear. This looks very similar to the ones you can still get now.
