The zipper is painted metal, with a diamond shape. any help would be appreciated.

That union label was used 1955-62. The dress looks early 60s.

ooops sorry, that is the 63-74 label. Still think it is early to mid 60s.

Could be from between 1964 -1973 according to the guide cited above. Again I am not "the best" with dating but your dress was so beautiful!!! Good luck and thanks for sharing!

Lovely dress and definitely 60's with that empire line. Found you on Flickr too.

A very pretty dress! I would date it from maybe mid-late 60s (1966/67) to as late as 1971. The higher waistline and the simpler skirt with the center panel of lace is very typical of that timeframe. One of my sisters-in-law was married in a similar dress in 1970, another one in 1971. The shoulders might be a bit "puffed" at the top in the 70s, so I think it's likely solidly 60s, but later than early to mid-mid.
