Hello, I have an old wedding dress I purchased about twenty years ago that has no tags in either the hat or the actual dress. I assume it is handmade then but who knows. There has been a couple of things altered which I will state here: originally there was a small bow on the behind area, there was no lace on the tulle inlay on the chest(this was placed here to cover a small hole), the underside of the hat originally had lace put it was removed to cover the aforementioned hole, and the sleeves were pulled up and have about two stitches to hold them in place on the top of the shoulder( originally they were hung down off the shoulder and it was the sheer tulle at the top of the shoulder and arm. All that being said- it is heavy weight bridal satin, the lace is very thick, and yes the original color is a champagne/cream color. It has a zipper in the back- a small one that may have been added at some point- I say this because if I look closely the small satin covered buttons and their loops on the other side have been folded into where the zip is now at...hard to explain but looks like someone cut the buttons off, took it in and put the zipper in. I have a few pictures that I will add that I hope will help.
