You know I feel like a dork. For the past 6 months I have been buying and seeking out old vintage magazines like montgomery wards and sears for fashion help...

Just today while looking for "bargain dresses" on ebay I found an old year book... and it hit more.... more photos of actual people in tha era for CHEAPER!!!

MOST of you know this already but for those newer to vintage fashion like me I thought I would share the glorious enlightenment lol!!!

Great idea!!!! I have a client who comes into the shop every Saturday and she got a great 30s magazine at a flea market....the HATS!!! the GOWNS!! I love old magazines. I'll have to look for yearbooks!

Yearbooks are fabulous! i love them.. and they show the school dance outfits, prom dresses, cars, the whole she-bang from that year.

I graduated in 1969, so my daughters love looking at mine, its a hoot, but I have moms and a few others. they are a wonderful resource.

Family albums are a great resource of who wore what when, too! I 've been having a lot of fun looking at pictures of my mother and grandmother's back in the day. My high school yearbook doesn't have "prom" photos but there are a lot of me in the "uniform of the day" - plaid pleated skirts, crew neck sweaters, Bass penny loafers and knee socks!!!

I will have to dig it out and scan one.
