VTG Dior but NO TAG! How do I authenticate?

I picked up this beauty at a goodwill in a very wealthy area of Louisville KY. Probably just thrown in the regular dresses because of no tag. Stitching is immaculate except for a seam on the outer silk is in need of repair at hem. Fully lined dress and everything is so well put together I can’t imagine this not being authentic. Only problem is no tag! Belt is fully removable and appears almost like a Chaftan without it around waist. I would like to authenticate it but have no idea where to start. Hours of searching online have only succeeded in basically nothing. Is this even a Dior? Hope the image posting works. This is my first time posting.

Per forum rules, we do NOT authenticate items.
I think your dress is possibly a home-sewn dress made by an experienced seamstress from Dior lining fabric, which was once readily available.
The use of designer lining fabric was discussed HERE.
But do wait and see if others concur with that!
