Hi guys,
I know some of these things you might have already put away for the season, or just get rid of if they are the tail end of an estate lot because they don't always command the big bucks, but i thought i would take a shot.
Its the middle of another summer and again I am finding it disheartening to even think about going to a regular store because i never find a thing to fit. (i have plenty of cocktail dresses, though LOL)
So if you have anything that might be my size in your "selling someday" stash or currently for sale that i don't know about, LMK. Condition: highly wearable but need not be museum quality or anything i would be terrified to wear in that regard.
Vintage Shorts
25-26 waist 27" is too big. "moving a button" doesn't always work.
38" or larger hips (if you measure hips at 6" below the waist, not 9")
Miniskirts
Same dimensions.
60s/70s, occasionally 90s
80s skirts are the wrong cut.
no flounces/ruffles - clean lines.
a-line strongly preferred but wrap styles could could work too.
Nothing too "full" like a square dance or tennis style. (my hips are big enough as is)
capri pants
see all the above measurements.
In general:
1)I am not afraid of color/pattern but have to be careful of horizontal stripes due to shortness and other factors.
2)I just can't wear things that are predominently that aubergine/deep purpley burgundy/deep cranberry pallate of colors. otherwise, try me.
3) solids are alright too.
Nothing overtly sweet - i.e. big eyed kittens, sunbonnet sue. Gingham okay though.
Chris
