water stains on 1930s silk satin gown

I am sane and would not even attempt to wash it on my own. However I just looked at couple vintage cleaners online and supposedly they claim they could remove those.
Have any one of you ever have success with these kind of old, most likely set up stain? Is it even worth it? The stains are fairly faint but I am so in love in this dress I almost feel bad for it. Ha ha. I guess Im kind of sane..
Just wondering. Thank you for your feedback.

IF it is a water stain, then the medium of the stain was water and that is what will remove it too, not dry cleaning. Satin is washable, but is it silk or rayon satin?
As Gayle suggested, can you load up a pic of the stain, because it may be an old wine stain (white wine turns brown with age), or something else that looks like a water stain but isn't.

A very good local dry cleaner was successful in removing old water stains from a '20s silk charmeuse gown, but it was expensive and charmeuse is easier than satin. I agree with Gayle and Jonathan, in that knowing the fibre content and seeing how bad the stains are will make a lot of difference. I have not personally had success in getting water stains out of satin though.

Thank you guys. I could not log into my account earlier. So the light is not that great but these is how the stains look like. Some darker brown circles and some similar but rather faint looking one.

And here is the dress itself. To me fabric feels like silk satin, what they call liquid satin. I ruined a bunch of dresses when I got into vintage and thought hand washing is the best. So I would not take a chance with this one. I am so in love with it..I am even thinking to keep it for myself if I ever renew my vows. ( I know, things we come up with to keep the clothes.)

It looks like 1930s silk charmeuse and it is VERY white, which suggests to me that it may have already been cleaned. You could try spot cleaning it first rather than washing the whole thing. Soak the dark stains and try washing that one area, rinse thoroughly and dry with a towel and hair dryer and see if that makes a difference. If you don't remove them, then there is no point in washing the whole dress, and if you do, or lighten them considerably, then you know washing will take the stains out and hopefully there will be no tide marks so you won't have to wash the whole dress.

I agree: it looks like silk charmeuse and I would hand wash. I think you can improve that quite dramatically but first, I'd get an in-person opinion to confirm the fabric because if it's satin it should not be washed.

... I would get a hold of some "Ease-Out" and 'go to town'...

Hi Linda -- Is Ease-Out only available in Canada (or elsewhere), do you know? I tried to locate the product last night, after your recommendation on another thread, but unable to locate it. I also checked Amazon.ca, but no luck.

If there is a website listed on the bottle, or perhaps a distributor or other info. that you can pass along, that would be great. Many thanks.
