Wayne Clark Label on an 80s Bustier Dress

I found an 80's Wayne Clark bustier dress today, and the label says 'Wayne Clark Your Choice'. It's a pretty cool dress, but all the other Wayne Clark's I've seen online (selling for crazy dollars!) don't say 'Your Choice'. Do you think Your Choice is a cheaper line?

I'll post pics when I upload 'em, if anyone cares!

I have the exact same dress in my collection but I don't think it has the 'your choice' label... I will have to check when I am in the storage area next time.

Thanks Jonathan! It's to big for me and I'm not exactly Jerry Hall... so I'm going to sell it. Trying to think of a price. I know Canadian designers don't sell as well as other designers, so I am figuring to price it low, as in under 50 bucks. Does that sound about right?

Midge & Joules - I think 'Jerry Hall' should become an online auction listing term, a la 'Eames Era', haha! It totally sums up the look. Hey, someone hast to start it...

Yup, mine is exactly the same but a size 8 and the label is the same as yours. I was given it as a gift, so I can't help with pricing, but you are right, Canadian designer items don't sell for as much as American designer items.

I, for one, can't figure out why this is so. I've had 3 or 4 Canadian designer dresses, and they have all been of wonderful styling and quality! I got a dress from you, Jonathan, that was fabulous!!!!

Such a shame that Canadian designer vintage has less value. I've had some truly beautiful Canadian pieces that rival anything American or European. I'm especially impressed with some of the high quality fabrics and beautiful construction. I find the designs tend towards elegant and classic rather than innovative but so does the majority of more "popular" designer names even the most important ones. There is a bright side to this though. Beautiful Canadian vintage can be a great bargain.

It's all about demand - less people are aware of the Canadian designers, so less people are looking for them. Our population is only 1/10th of the US population... so there are fewer bidders fighting for the items!
