my daughter looked at me aghast when l suggested she rifle through my vintage treasures to accessorize her £200 choice of dress........she looked at me like YEAH MA, NO!!!..like l was mad to suggest it, the dress we are buying is purple satin, spaghetti straps, embroidered in purples down bodice with opalescent glass beads to enhance her size 10 figure..l have some fantastic clutch bags that would go sooo wel...but she's plumped for a barrats silver faux leather with diamante matching shoes...

as long as l pay up then!! LOL

l bought aher a fantsatic black velevet column gown, with galss beads to bodice, and pyster chiffon fish tail coming out of back split, which is stunning (£5 in tkmaxx last winter 'though l havent told her that) she wants to save that for the year 13 leavers ball....

I just wish l had been asked, l sat my junior year prom out in upstate NY, and wasnt around for the senior year....things are so different now...
