i have this wedding dress that i am interested in selling; however, i am clueless as to a reasonable price. could someone help me date this so i can figure out what it is worth? if you could price it as well, that would be most appreciated.

the tag has care instructions but no list of contents, says 'size 6' and the waist measures 26". buttons run halfway down the back until they become decoration and a zipper is hidden underneath. i was thinking it was 1970s, but i really am just getting started in the vintage biz so i could be way off.

Very nice! - I would agree on 70s. Not sure what kind of price to start at - maybe check ebay's completed auctions to see how they are selling these days?

Your images do show the "sheerness" of the dress well, but a lot of the details are lost because of the drapes and the backlighting.

What a cute wedding dress! I love the little flower appliques....very flower power outside summer wedding! :D I agree with 70's...

Pricing is always the hardest part....it all depends on how much you have invested in it. I agree with Margaret to check the completed auctions on ebay of similar "vintage wedding dress" or "70's wedding dress" to see what they have been going for. Use a great title to attract as many lookers as possible...and you may get more. Start with the lowest price you would be willing to part with it or set a reasonable reserve if you need to.

The photos do show the sheerness and the flowers.....but I would recommend taking a few outside photos to give a better indication of the color...is it white or cream? Do you have someone who could model it for you? Before I got my half-girl and manni, I would use my slim daughter as an occasional model...I just cropped out her head in the photos.....oh, that sounds like it hurts. :smug:

It will not take long for you to get addicted to this.......I never thought it would happen to me :hysterical:

Good luck with the dress.....Gail

Gotta concur with the other ladies here that it's 1970's and also that outdoor pics or pics where it isn't backlit to show the sheerness would also be great. I reccomend that you use the term 'Gunne Sax' in your auction listing because it reminds me of that particular brand's dress designs at the time - which are generally pretty popular.

Good luck!

I had a daisy inspired wedding dress (still do) from 1970. I do agree with the 70s date.:clapping:
