Wedding dress timeline confirmation - 80s?

This NOS gown is by Paloma Blanca for Blue Bird Dress... at least that's what the hangtag says - it's "by" Blue Bird Dress on the label... It has the Canadian union tag that I usually associate with 70s and before, but I think the dress is mid to late 80s. What say you?

And would anyone know when they stopped using this Canadian union tag?

Many thanks!!!

Yes it is reminscent of the 50s, but I should have mentioned the care label has a 1-800# (first use 1967) on it - no care symbols or website, just the # for care and preservation.

l agree it looks 50's l know what you mean about the 80's feel, it does have the elements, but its not fru fru enough and the sweetheart neckline isnt 80's...l agree with 'the man'!! well it must be circa 1967 then...in the style of.....

yeah, that will be interesting, do let us know....its proably from a current line! LOL....

The font on that union tag rings groovy lovin' late 60s to me....but the dress looks like it could be in any bridal shop for the last 10 years. (me and best GF both married 7 ago, spent a lot of time in bridal shops then)
What does that hang tag off the left arm look like?

I'm so glad you asked that. My powers of deduction have been asleep and think the code # with a F96 at the end may mean Fall 96 ????? I should have posted all the labels etc. from the get go... :BAGUSE:

Here's a close up of the hangtag:

Even though we had solved the mystery, I did get a reply from Paloma Blanca:

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in PALOMA BLANCA.
This dress seams to be over 10 years old.
From the information you have given it is style # 2610.
It is from the Fall 1996 collection. We hope this helps you out.

Congratulations & Good Luck,

Customer Service,
PALOMA BLANCA

I think it's great that they answered! And it probably would have been even quicker had I tried the 1-800#.
