weird metallic dress

Hi everyone! Any ideas about this dress? I feel like it could be like an ethnic/traditional sort of who knows? I seem to have a problem wherein I cant say no to shiny things so now it belongs to me. The zipper is nylon and the lining is rough, like a very thin mesh. Sorry for messy closet in the background!!

I want to say it's '60s but the style really isn't convincing me: can you tell us about how the seams and hem are finished? Is that the hem in the last photo?

Dresses like this were in style in the very late '70s but you see it in the '90s too.

Can you show the zip head/tag and the skirt to bodice seam please?
I think it may have been made much more recently from a vintage pattern, using retro style fabric. The fabric strikes me as the sort used on curtains.
