Just thought to show... THE GUNBRUSH! Now for sale in my etsy store. Weird children's novelty toothbrush, the trigger works and makes a clicking noise. And you think you have seen it all.

Beyond Weird. Holster and all. Shaking head in Vermont. What era do you think these are from? I know in the early 50's every birthday party for my brother involved cowboy costumes and guns for all.

You suppose parents thought it was the only way to get their little boys to brush? I've never heard/seen anything like that.

Isn't that the truth.

They are however very cool!

crazy!!!!!!!!
my friend bought a vintage gun blow dryer at the flea market, equally as twisted as the gun tooth brushes, I think

This item goes with the childrens toy iron which really heats up. I almost bought it. But it is such a fire hazard I thought somebody might actually give it to a child.

When I was a kid my easy bake oven was taken away from me when saw I sought to do all the wrong things with it. I liked playing mad scientist!

They would be even cooler if they were a variety of delicious fruity, candy-like flavors! :eureka:

Yeah, I know you don't eat them, but they could still have a yummy taste to them.

Mmmm.... yummy, fruity candy-flavored GUNS! :USEGUN:

Well,, for the 50s there were a lot of Westerns, as you know. I see the star on one toothbrush so maybe that was meant to indicate Sheriff. I am sure the intent was purely innocent/rollplay not unlike how we give kids fake string shooters for those wanting to be Spiderman and laser guns to kids. That was probably the intent even if they weren't thinking about the other implications.

I betcha some collector is going to snap these up.

Yeah you guys are gonna think I am weirder. As a kid my cousin who was five was killed when he left his gun box unlocked. I was ten and in the front yard at the time.

Its true and when I am in my home town it is still brought up to me.

I saw the gun tooth brushes and was shocked. I bought them. It saw i as a sign of how innocent thinks were with childrens toys and people attitudes towards guns.... Cap guns and things how is a kid supposed to know.

Why have these brushes?

I dont know.

Guns sold right away and they are going to Australia.....

I keep seeing them being used by a MikeTV (Willy Wonka) TYpe kid.

I live near NYC. Could be production models. Or there was a low run of them. The person who bought them from was very very excited.
