So I recently bought this jacket and could not find any information about the company.

It says movie guild of hollywood so perhaps an old wardrobe piece? looks to be 50s or maybe early 60s. But it has shoulder pads, which I thought was kind of weird so maybe an earlier piece? Reminds me of 'Rebel Without a Cause'.

Any info would help!

Looks 1940's to me, the shoulder pads, metal zip and pointed collar are typical, whilst the label style (small, rectangular and folded on all edges) is very similar to that I have on a men's check shirt from the same period.

To be sure, you need to see what shape the shoulder pads are, they are very different to the 80's & more modern ones, usually half the size, more 'moon' shaped.

I agree with 40's as well. As soon as I saw that collar and the length, I knew.

What a cool label by the way. I've never seen that one before.
