What are some good vintage Holiday gift ideas?

i really, really want a vintage rhinestone brooch of my initial 'H' (anyone?!)-or even better my name. i think that's could be good idea for any vintage jewellery lovers like myself!

and what about a twist on the traditional christmas jumper? a 40's fairisle as an alternative maybe...

not that i've already written a vintage christmas wishlist or anything!;)

Purses work best for me.

Almost every woman uses one everyday
They are one size fits all
So many styles that you can find one for all the ladies on your list. Conservative, wild, orgazined, etc.

I also like giving watches for the same reason!

I think focusing on items that don't involve tricky measurements. Therefore accessories are good ideas, some types of sweaters...but things that require measurements to be right on...might be better if someone purchases from someone's "hint list" or a "merry christmas/happy birthday to yourself" gift

Harriet, I know I have a "C" and an "E" but I will look!!

fountain pens! (hehe) Only if you've won the lottery and been able to buy a fully restored & clean one, mind (she says from experience).

But I'm fully of the opinion that only vintage celluloid or metal-cased fountain pens can complete the full range of accessories for the lady and gent about town...

(ps. any Sheaffers going spare, let me know!)

Last year that was the big thing, Linda. Remember, the handbags with the initial on them (they are still out, but they are everywhere last christmas).
My sister has an "L" cardigan sweatshirt so I started calling her "Laverne" and she hates that!

my brother gave me a COlorado Rockies baseball cap with the big "C.R." on it. I wasn't really into baseball, but it made him think that i looked like ALvin the chipmunk who wore his big initial on his cap. But now I am "C.M" and not CR .

You'll have to tell me when/where you list it, it would really disturb the heck outta my brother.

I thought I had a "C" pic already taken but I cannot find it. I have one "H" and one "E" left and two "C's". Also have two "P's". I am having a heck of a time getting good clear pictures for some reason this morning.

Here is the H. These are new, old stock, in pave crystal.
