What are these beaded things?

I bought a pair of gloves on ebay that came with what the seller called 'sew on beaded bracelets', but are far too long to have been meant for the wrist, or even the top of the gloves. They do match the gloves perfectly. Perhaps a sleeve trimming? Has anyone seen anything similar? They were apparently worn by a bride in 1953.

They 12.5 inches long. One of them does show signs on the back of having been sewn to something.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Many thanks for the suggestions.

If the dress had short sleeves they could the right length for the top of arm I realise.

Or as you say Jonathan, they could be the back and front of neckline.

But I guess it's hard to know exactly what they are for - I think I'll just sell them as dress trimmings.

Late to the party - but yes, I agree with these being dress trimmings and not glove trimmings. You can see the remains of the contrasting fabric on one piece of the trim. That's a deep colour. The trim looks like it might have a curved shaping. Neckline makes sense.

They are flat actually, not curved, so I'm not sure about neckline - possible depending on the neckline shape.

yes, the dark fabric remaining on the back is surprising given she said they were worn by a her mother at her wedding - did many brides get married in dark pink in the fifties?
