It has some very strong adhesive that glues it down to the inner sole. I can't get it out without tearing out the Ferragamo inner sole. Anyway, I want to disclose this, but I don't know what to call it. Thank you.

ball of foot pads?
ball of foot insoles?
no toe slip pads?

I actyally like these and put them in almost all my shoes. They keep your foot from slipping forward in your shoes while adding padding, great for open toe shoes.
The only problem is if they are vintage and have deteriorated..yuck!

Thanks, eel. I wonder if there is an official name for them.

Would you call these shoes Mary Janes or T-Straps?

OK I am looking at a package of them and they say "No-Slips Ball of Foot Cushions" another says "Half insoles"

How about "a small attempt at making your feet not hurt quite so bad after wearing lovely shoes". I adore heels, my feet think otherwise. :D

If the buyer wants them removed, I do believe the shoemaker's/shoe repair places have the proper arsenal of high-octane toxic solvents to remove them profesionally.
