What are these?

Hi!

I found these at an estate sale and I thought they were interesting. All a little different, printed silk with gold paint. About 26.5 inches long and too short to tie around the neck. Drapery ties? some sort of decoration?

Would they not tie simply around the neck, like a bow tie that you would not make up into a bow but simply tie.

26 1/2 will go around my neck and loop.

Yes a thinner neck! I can tie a reaaaaaaly small bow.

I do think they are a kind of neckwear...might have a specific name but I don't know what that would be.

I think they are supposed to go under a blouse collar or to fill out the neck of a sweater and the ones I have seen are usually attached to each other in the back, like this:

That's it!! Thank you MS! There were a few loose threads in the center when I brought them home. The estate was a mess with PILES of textiles everywhere from a former Flea market dealer who loved vintage textiles. Very possible they could have been tri ties at one point.

I have had some tri-ties in the past, might still have some in hiding!

I see a tri tie now too. Or they would have just been crossed in the front and fastened with a tie tack.

There must have a bunch that were separated because they were everywhere... place looked like a bomb hit it after the first wave of estate sale peeps :(
