Whenever I get an article of clothing that has the original dressmaker's or tailor's address inside, I always love googling to see if the address is still around.
These two matching bodices were made during the mid 19th century by a dressmaker in Paris name Madame Bon who was located on 57 Rue Notre Dame de Lorette. I googled the address and found that the building is now a bar...

I also have a burgundy velveteen coat from the early 1960's which came from Durban in South Africa and still had the dressmaker's label with the address inside as well. I discovered that the building is now a <a href="http://www.gaycentre.org.za/">gay and lesbian outreach center</a>!
