What can you tell me about this dress?

Hello everyone,

This is my first post!

I would love to know more about this dress. I bought 2011-2012 in Amsterdam, in a vintage shop what also rented themed vintage costumes. As soon as I saw the dress I was in love with the details. It doesn't have any label or any sign of it. The sewing is very rustic, looks like it have been altered.

What can you tell me?

That appears to be a contemporary Indian garment. It was likely meant to be worn with pants and an over-scarf like a sari.

If you look up Salwar Kamees you will see similar. This looks contemporary.

I appreciate everyone opinion. The garment is one piece of fabric, the embellished was made together in the same fabric, no attached. The fabric is sewing only in the sides. There is something about the sleeves that makes me think it is not an Asian design, they are kind batwing sleeve meet 3/4 bishop sleeves and I have never seen this kind of style in Indian Garments (I spent sometime in ‎Mumbai‎ and New Delhi‎) . It is definitively a tunic, but maybe more from the Middle East and North Africa region.
