What Decade for this woven rattan and leather purse?

I'm having a difficult time researching what decade this purse belongs in.
The dimensions are height 10" width 12" depth 5"
Burgundy leather trim with a rattan or straw type material.
The design appears to be an Asian or Middle Eastern design of two tigers
The leather tabs are used to close the purse with a turn lock
The interior is a beige colored suede leather
The only info is a Made In Italy mark
I was thinking 40's or 50's, but I'm not sure

Any help, or ideas thanks so much
