What do a wear to a James Bond themed New Years party?

Gary just rang me up from work and said that they got the invites through for the New Years party that his work holds every year. We went to it last year and I wore a late 1950's pink and black illusion lace princess seamed gown with full crin (of course!).
This year it's themed with a "Jame Bond" theme so everyone has dress appropriately.

Unfortunately, I HATE James Bond films, I've only ever seen one snippet of one and I seem to remember seeing a bald guy holding a cat?

What does a female character in a James Bond film wear then? I guess I'm going to go for the earlier films (were they mid 60's???:puzzled: )

I think you could get away with a ski bunny ensemble, too, as seems to me there are a lot of ski chase scenes. I dont watch them but have a vague idea of what the chicks wear......I'm sure someone will be along who's actually watched some!

Go as the best Bond girl.....I reckon you'd be able to do a riding-style costume, no? ;) At least I think that's what it's meant to be....

Iconic bond girl is short shorts or a bikini, but I think you would do well with a slinky gown with high leg slit, long gloves, lots of bling & attitude!! (don't forget the gun tucked into your stocking!)

From Russia With Love, you could go Moscow girl (but a bit warm for inside), Casino Royale, carry around some poker chips?? I am sure once you start looking at the films you will get great ideas!

Must have big hair, false eyelashes and fingernails.... My Mom always looked like the old bondgirls in the day.... BIg jewelry too......
