what do you think of her?

Getting a manni is exciting.

Definite plusses:

-Rod can be in calf or foot
-molded hair makes her unique - and no fussing with wigs!
=Measurements are small enough - won't have to struggle with smaller clothing.
-a bent arm
-earrings make her unique

Minuses:
-earrings style might not work for showing off all eras of clothing unless you frame her as the more modern gal mixing up vintage with modern....which could work. buit might look out of place with a 30s dress
-molded hair...she really can't wear hats (so it can be a plus or a minus - and does style fit in with what you sell?

I guess it is really, when you see her, do you get excited about the prospect of adding her to your business?

When I saw my manni, i immediately got the feeling "yes, she is the one"

A voice inside my head said "she doesn't have a bent arm!!"
but the plusses for me outweighed it, and i also might have been silly to go with a downward looking manni, as is not traditional but i really really am glad i got her.

I would surf around for a few minutes if you don't know what to do, and look at a lot of others and id you keep coming back to her, I would be tempted to go with it

I love her pose above the hips - great manni pose. If you sell a lot of pencil skirts and wiggle dresses though, you might want to consider less of a stride. My manni isn't too bad, but any further and tight dresses would be a no-no.

She is very pretty and I don't blame you for getting excited about purchasing a manni. :clapping:

I agree completely with Chris's plus and minus thoughts. My manni has molded hair, too but her hairdo is rather flat on the top so I can put on a wig or have her wear hats...

Good luck with your purchase.....:clapping:

I like her. I have one similar in material, shape of foot, etc. Just know, however, that she can never wear shoes unless you cut a hole in the bottom of one for that rod.

my gut reaction is that she has attitude. If I could bid on her I would be sorely tempted to have her join my manni LOL

Really? Mine is like Carolyn's. I don't think it has a hole in the calf.

welp... my dear husband owes me a favor.... and buying me a manni is it! (geez, I love being owed!)

There is a guy in Carlisle, PA called the mannequin man..... he has a warehouse full. I think I am going to call him to get an appointment before I decide......

but if you see any great ones hanging around.... let me know!

Oh, I thought I saw a hole in the calf of the one Alana was showing us. Mine has both.

That sounds exciting going to a whole warehouse full! We want all the details!

At the very least, it looks like this seller has a few of the same model so if you decide to get her in the end, it looks like it won't be a problem.

I want a manni........

Just can't afford it quite yet. But I do like the one you have selected. And my suggestion is if the earrings don't match the period dress, just take a pic of her from the neck down.

Very much like her look. Looks very classic and timeless to me.

Jamie,

you might want to consider looking into a half round hanging form until then. They are easy to be had for under $20 and make a huge difference. I couldn't believe how much an impact something so inexpensive mad on my clothes.

Chris

That one does have a hole in the calf which makes it so much better! I am liking this one more all the time.

The one I purchased this year had holes for earrrings and came with its own wig.

Here she is.

Couldn't you use flesh colored paint to camoflauge the earrings? They're not that noticable as an "extension" beyond the mannequin (they don't stick out from the head) and I think covering them would be an easy way to hide them unless you are shooting hats?

Just another one of my weird thoughts....
