What do you think of this dress?

This dress was part of an estate buy and I don't think it's all that attractive. But then when I got it on my manni I thought I could possibly market it as a waitress uniform?????

The length and large sleeves are throwing me. It has shoulder pads and a center back metal zipper. 40's or 50's?

Should I list it or just donate?

hmmm...that lacey trim and pleats might get awful messy if it was a waitress. i am used to seeing uniforms as no fuss clean lines. I don't know for sure though

I bet it's teenage dress from the late 40s,early 50s - - hence the younger line and ruffly style.

I thought so too, but the measurements don't say teen to me.
