Greetings!
My first post here and I am excited to meet you and tap into your knowledge. You are an impressive group!

This fur cape was a gift to me from fiancé.
I know nothing about it except it's gorgeous.

I will be selling my items so any information you can give me would be muchly appreciated.

Thank you!

Wow, that is a show stopper! My opinion is mink with fox fur trim, but I am going to tag our fur expert Caryn @furwise who can help you much better than myself!
I will link you to our label resource to show you information on the Robinson's label

Thank you! It is so lovely but I really need to let go of things.

I think you are right about it being mink. The bottom trim is really beautiful.

I appreciate your help, Black Lotus Vintage.
Love this Forum!

Very pretty. The fur type from the collar throughout the bodice to the border is mahogany mink, the fur trim around the border is black fox, I would date it to the 40s, and if it's shorter than waist length you could also refer to it as a capelet.

Wow! Thank you. I had no idea it was from the 40's. It's a beautiful piece.

My sweet fiancé purchased it for me and I wore it once before he suddenly and unexpectedly died.

I have no idea what ask for it.

I'll scroll Etsy, Pinterest, Insta, ebay and?

Thanks so much. You all are treasures!
