what I did last night to waste time

Last Fall we were able to purchase a lot of really great dresses in virtually mint condtion from an Indiana estate. It was such a neat experience to view one woman's lifetiem clothing and see her taste and how her taste changed. I finally got them all photgraphed.

Anyway, I did a compilation of all the dresses last night. It's pretty impressive en masse. The bottom 3 without labels are a Rudolf and 2 Blums-North. Some have already sold, some are not up on the website yet. But I thought I would share.

It's a big photo.

Enjoy!

Now if you did that with my wardrobe indeed it would be a disaster. I would leave instructions on how to put the stuff together.

Imagine being that put together all the time hair nails dress....

Lovely dresses and great job on the pictures of the black dresses.....

She was indeed. I do wish I had gotten to the auction earlier to view more. The preveiw photos didn't begin to indicate this kind of selection.

There were the shoes, purses and accessoires for all the dresses. They had been pulled out as auction request and were in a huge pile on a table. I couldn't get to them! Plus some very fancy western riding wear and all her 60s and 70s things. All American designers. The earliest were a couple of late 40s evening dresses from Bergdorf Goodman that were the only things in poor condition. There was another 1950s Trigere 3 piece suit, a stunning Mignon blue strapless evening gown, and a fine Harvery Berin that all went very high. And a ton of Miriam Haskell and fine jewelry!

Quite a compilation of fashionable clothing! A lady of great taste...I remember that super draped top and the Mignon, isn't that the one that had the overlay longer skirt (I might be mistaken there)

The Galanos has an amusing twist to it - Fox Hunt Jacket meets up with 50s Chiffon Cocktail.

Love the Trigere black silk 2 pc outfit!!!

Mary Jane, you are right - I decided to use the back view of the Mignon. It's unexpected.

That black Trigere set was special and sold instantly.

Gorgeous, gorgeous. Yes that woman sounds like quite the fashionista. I especially love the black suit with the large collar. Reminds me of Audrey Hepburn.

Beautiful Finds!!
