what is this beauty called (capelette)?

this little beauty was made in hungary (that is the only tag). feels like silk and is dark chocolate with gold thread. is this a capelette? and any idea on age? Two metal hook and eye at the neck and appears to be vintage yet in excellent shape.

Capelet will work fine.
It's very hard to date these ethnic pieces, they don't change with the fashions. One thought is that Hungary went beind the Iron Curtain in 1956, so I doubt there were many exports to English speaking countries at that time and for many years after. And no one wa sexporting much durin WW2.
So my bets guess is 1946 - 56, or pre WW2.

in the description...tell them how beautiful it will be over a holiday cocktail dress...or a ball gown where you don't want to cover up the beautiful skirt with a coat! But who knows...maybe someone will want to wear with jeans :) instant glamor

i am quite pleased with the vintage clothing items that i had listed that ended tonight. i also have a cashmere/mink coat and 1930's cosmetic's starting tonight. i think i'm beginning to really like this!
