What Is This Bracelet Made of?

Its weird. No seams, appears carved/etched and has multicolor rhinestones set in....its slightly misshappen (you can see that at bottom right), has almost beveled bends within the inside (easiest to see upper right by shadow) from perhaps a poorly shaped mold/tube? Also, its got a slight bit of "give" when you squeeze it. I cant do the sniff test for bakelite but I dont know WHAT this is! Any ideas?

Also, is the symbolism Native American? Mexican? I cant decide....and date thoughts?

It's beautiful!

It doesn't look Native American or Mexican to me because of the rhinestones. They usually work with materials such as turquoise, jade, or abalone.

I thought it might be ivory, but my DH says ivory doesn't have any "give" to it.

It looks like a nice piece of ethnic folk art, but I don't know which culture.

I'm not really thinking its actually made by any specific ethnicity....just the artwork being influenced, really. I guess I should have shown more of the symbols.....oops!

Its definitely plastic, but I dont know enough about bakelite to know if it has any give?

Hmmm.....it doesnt seem lightweight or brittle feeling enough to be celluloid, as I think of it anyway. But maybe....maybe I just dont know much about celluloid!

i think an attempt at egyptian symbols.....i know egyptian artifacts were popular during the twenties though im not sure if this bangle is from that time...

i like it though!!
