Its soft but the tips of the hair are kinda prickly when you just run your fingertips over them. I had always thought of vicuna as being much softer. Does smell like burnt hair when burned

I had a hard time with the closeup because of the color

Does the fabric content label say vicuna? Got a pic of it:) ?

I had a vicune pelt sleigh blanket (sold for about $200 I believe) that had the softest feel to it.

Definetly no prickly feel.

No label and it just feels soft till you get to the ends of the hairs. Have been advised that its probably mohair. Don't know why I didn't think mohair. Duh!

Yep, I think it is mohair or a mohair blend.

Great Festive season cape Pauline!

I hate measuring these because it always seems to cause confusion as to size so instead of listing the measurements I did this.

And of course I needed a good story line

She stood in the cold in front of the doorway. Singing their Christmas Carols. She could hear Joe off key and the sound of Marges high pitch. She shivered slightly but not from the cold. Her bright red mohair cape was soft to the touch and warming to her body. She felt festive and cheerful so it didn't bother her when she heard John with his lispy whistle as he sang "one horse open sl(whistle)eigh".........<h6>
