What is this trim called?

Hi,

I've been searching for the name of this type of trim and so far have had no luck.

It feels like a moderately stiff cotton lace with "beads" that drop down.

Also, what I've found out so far makes me think this is a wedding dress, perhaps 50's?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Are they "beads" or just an extension of the lace? Looks like Venice lace to me. I don't think there is a special name for the style. Pretty dress! I think it's 60's.

I believe the proper term is 'disposition lace' as in a made to be used in one direction with a top and a bottom.

I am not 100% sure but I have seen that term used before to describe a 'one-sided' lace like this.

Thanks Jonathan,

That was what I was having trouble with~ the lace patterns I was finding were symmetrical rather than having one side "drop".
