I thought it may be a chatelaine (without the doo-dads).

The brass mesh strap is adjustable.

Please anyone knows for sure ...I would love to know - I must've searched 500 new and used endings on Ebay and came up empty.

I could go with that . Chatelaines would usually have separate attachments for each chain so they don't get in a jumble. So watch fob looks good to me.
