What kind of hat is this please?

Hi all, I have googled and ebay searched and I have no idea what to call this hat. I'm pretty sure it's from the 60s, but maybe 70s?? Anyways here it is - the only tag it has is one saying it complies with the manitoba (so made in Canada I assume) something or other

I don't know what other term is used for these, but it is just like a majorette's hat in shape. Only yours was obviously not for a majorette. Is it real persian lamb or faux fur?

It's 60s I'm fairly certain. I think it looks more like a "band" (or majorette) hat than a hunting hat because of the boxy shape and the pom pom but thats just me.

In my humble opinion it's got a Russian feel to it. Looks lovely and warm!

I agree it's a very, very mod cap from the 60s.... I would call it a structured cap, and it does look like a majorette hat or a Russian Cossack hat with a brim.

And I have a darling faux fur tan jacket with pom-pom buttons in the dark brown that would be adorable with this hat!
