What material would you call this?

Ok ladies and gents - I've had this purse for a long time and keep hesitating to post it since I don't know what to call the material. It is almost like a wicker but so fine and SOO strong and sturdy!
P.S. The outside - not the satin inside LOL! Thanks!

It looks like plasticized or plastic straw braid.
