What the deal with shipping to Italy again??

I recall some problems with shipping to Italy, but can't remember the exact scoop. I have just rec'd an ASQ about sending a pair of shoes to Italy...I am hesitant. Any advice??

I believe they do not allow the shipment of shoes, and I think there is issues with leather and "habidashery" of any type.
USPS has a pretty good list on their site, if you can find it, and interpret the legal-eze
