what the heck is this clear plastic dog decorative thing?

Hi Everyone,
Someone had made this into a little brooch or repaired it by gluing a pin on it, but theres a hole in the center of the back. Just wondering what it might have been other than a brooch?

There was probably a different original pin back for the brooch, that attached via that hole in some manner.

Just a guess, really, but I'd say 60s.
Let's see what others may reckon.

I wish I could give you some help but I also have a bunch of items that the original owner glued a pin too! I guess it was a well loved item had significance to the owner and we will never know for sure. But the glue is really strong right?

I wonder if it may not have been a bolo? And converted to a pin.

Yes! thanks so much everyone....once I put "Bolo" and lucite and plastic I'm seeing quite similar items as bolo's including the gold flake which seems popular in the bolo's.
