    Hi All,

I'm trying to describe these cufflink kinda thingys on this Valentino dress and I'm just not sure what to call them.

    Here's the dress

Very well made grey wool almost as soft as flannel with a velvet collar.

And these little doodads at the cuffs instead of just simple buttons.

Should I call them cufflinks? They are not attached to the cuffs in any way, just go thru one button hole to the other. I'm really amazed they managed to stay with the dress!

So what would you call them?

    Thanks
    Kat

    Shank buttons???
    that's my best guess.

You can say that they remind you if cufflinks, still, though.

I'd call them loose-link/chain cufflinks, but then I am ignorant...

I would call them cufflinks for the sake of not having anything else to rely on as I have several mens cufflinks that have this exact style!!

Have never looked at them all that closely so I can't remember exactly how they work....I know several pair are sterling silver and another couple of pair are mother of pearl...They are vinty for sure!!
